erosion in detail
erosion in black
I have always had a fascination with deserts and I have visited a few over the years: the Atacama in Chile, the Wadi Ram in Jordan, the Sahara in Morocco and Egypt, the plateau of the Cederberg in South Africa (which gives the name to one of my collections) to name a few.
Deserts are places of extremes and contrasts and this is what I am trying to incorporate in my ceramics.
Another of my collections is called "Erosion". Once again I turned my eye to Nature and Her constant way of changing and evolving: wetting and drying of mud, the apparent immobility of rocks and their erosion.
Rain, wind, water they all write their messages; every element has a story to tell.
